Whether it’s dealing with Broadway girls or knocking back Whiskey glasses, Morgan Wallen always seems to have a pair of killer boots on him.

Because of his musical prowess, many look up to Morgan as an inspiration, or even as a role-model. Some of us, however, simply admire his undying love for boots.

His boot game is a notch above—the guy knows how to rock a pair.

This leaves us with some questions: what boots does Morgan Wallen wear? What kind of leathers does he prefer? Where can I get mine?

If you’re looking to rock a pair of boots like Morgan, you’re in the right place.

What Boots Does Morgan Wallen Wear?

In a recent interview, Morgan said that he’s “a pretty simple guy, I don’t get caught up in brands… I wear a lot of Wrangler tops and Tecovas boots.”

Though he claims to be a simple man, Morgan still has exquisite taste, seeming to favor exotic leathers in his boots.

What leathers are those?

Morgan has been spotted wearing a wide array of exotic leathers: including python, caiman, smooth ostrich, and full-quill ostrich.

Let’s break it down.

Python

From my research, it looks like Morgan has a thing for python leather. He can be seen rocking a pair of python leather boots on the cover of his 2021 Dangerous: The Double Album.

Out of all of the boots I found him wearing, python leather seems to be his go-to. Python leather offers an edge that many of us could use in our boot game.

The ones on his feet are likely part of a limited run, but Tecovas still offers some classic boots in python leather.

The Brady is a solid python boot that just screams “style!”

This round toed cowboy boot features a 12 inch shaft with western flare. With full leather lining and Goodyear welt construction, these boots are a solid balance of fashion and function.

The price point on these boots is pretty middle-of-the-road for Tecovas, but the quality of materials makes them well worth a look if you’re looking to incorporate some edginess and attitude into your wardrobe.

Caiman

Every once in a while, we see Morgan rocking a pair of caiman leather boots.

Once again, these boots were likely from a previous limited run from Tecovas, but don’t fear, Tecovas still has some fantastic options for caiman boots.

The Tecovas Dillon in Mahogany is very close to the boot that Morgan is wearing here (if not the same boot!) Featuring caiman belly leather, the Dillon speaks volumes with its reptile skin flare.

Tecovas The Dillon

With its stylish caiman belly leather, the Dillon has a tall 12 inch calf skin shaft, and is similar to the Brady in its overall construction. It features a Goodyear welt, round toe, 1 ½ inch heel, and leather lining.

The Cole is a more compact version of a Caiman boot. Part of the Roper family, the Cole features a shorter 10 inch shaft and a lower 1 ⅛ inch heel. Trimmer and less ornate than the Dillon, the Cole has a more simplistic design, allowing the caiman leather to really shine through as the star of the show.

Caiman leather is definitely an exotic leather, and the price point shows that clearly (more so than the python.) If you’re gonna get yourself a pair of caiman boots, be prepared to cry once, because it‘ll be an investment.

Smooth Ostrich

From the picture here, it appears that Morgan Wallen is sporting a smooth ostrich leather boot. Smooth ostrich leather is an affordable gateway into the exotic leather community, typically coming in at a lower price point than python or caiman.

Morgan’s boots here are likely the Tecovas Weston in smooth russet ostrich leather.

The Weston sports a 12 inch shaft with contrasting goat leather, featuring that classic cowboy aesthetic with 8 line tonal stitching.

A classic round-toe cowboy boot with not-so-traditional leather, this boot is a fantastic option if you’re looking to buck the trend.

Another great smooth ostrich option is the Wade. The Wade has less aesthetic flair while still standing out as a classic cowboy boot. It features a round toe box and a 10 inch shaft with contrasting goat leather (like the Weston), this time without the 8 line stitch, giving it a cleaner look.

Definitely the most affordable boot on this list so far, the Wade runs just under the Weston in price, a definite bang for your buck, and a great option for getting your hands on some ostrich leather (and some Morgan Wallen flare.)

Full-Quill Ostrich

In this photo from the 2020 CMA awards, Morgan appears to be sporting full-quill ostrich leather boots, likely the Tecovas Duke in the Midnight colorway.

Like the Wade, the Duke is a Tecovas Roper boot and features a 10 inch shaft, a round toe, and a shorter heel.

A step up from the Wade, the Duke has a calf-skin shaft, adding to that exotic-luxury feel (Morgan wore his Dukes with a suit, if that tells you anything).

Personally, I’m all about that high-life aesthetic, so these boots piqued my interest. If you want to dress like a king without leaving your country roots behind, then these are the boots for you.

That being said, these boots are on the higher end price-wise, so keep that in mind when picking out your next pair. You’re paying for quality, and these boots are totally worth that investment.

Other Options

If exotic isn’t your thing, or maybe the price point for python, ostrich, caiman leathers are a little over budget, Tecovas has some great options for you.

In a more affordable range, Tecovas has a great variety of goat and bovine leathers.

The Earl is a fantastic roper boot with the same overall construction as the Cole, the Wade, and the Duke without the exotic pricepoint.

In a Cowboy boot, the Cartwright has the same construction as the exotic Cowboy boots that Morgan Wallen wears, but in a more affordable leather.

Both the Earl and the Cartwright come in goat and bovine options. These boots keep those lines and curves of a Morgan Wallen boot without needing an exotic leather.

Sand in My Boots…

Morgan Wallen wears a mean boot, and now you can too. Tecovas has a wide range of options for every taste and budget (I’m still eyeing those tasty Midnight Dukes…) Whether exotic is your thing, or you’d prefer a smooth traditional look, Tecovas has a boot for you.
